An artist of such renown in our humble home – what an experience! Kerstin came to Galery69 to capture us, the so-called „Originals”, on camera.
We were hugging each other from the first moment we met at the airport, like long-lost friends – no need for formal introductions, Kerstin is an exceptionally warm-hearted person. Later, she transformed us into the heroes of her photo-shoot. The result was beautiful, emerging from the combination of all the essential elements: talent, passion and nature.
About Kerstin
Design Hotels work with several photographers, each of whom is an exceptional artist producing unique photographs. It was our honour to form a part of their collected works, and all the more an honour to choose the photographer we wanted to work with. We chose Kerstin – her works are wonderful, and it is clear she finds so much joy in creating them. The portfolio on her blog took our breath away (have your breath taken away at: http://www.kerstinzupan.com/). She has worked for the most well-known brands, but there was something in particular which captivated us – Kerstin’s Self-Service. This has to be seen! In each shooting location (and there have been so many), Kerstin dons an extraordinary costume and photographs herself. She tells us this is her way of helping her models overcome their nerves in front of the lens, of attuning herself more to those on the other side of the camera. And her dress? Surely a present from Little Red Riding Hood, or Alice in Wonderland, or ….. maybe you can tell us? Galery69 was honoured…. This is Kerstin.
The artist resides in Berlin. For a long time she was an illustrator and painter. On commencing her art degree, she chose photography as her preferred medium of expression, creating a refined and unique style. She has honed her skills in amazing circumstances, blurring the lines between fashion and art.
