We love this land of wonder: though the weather is capricious, our infrastructure is – let’s say “diverse,” since the roads are not the best. We dream of a sunny and hot summer, and we are glad for whatever we get. Whoever really desires Greek should immediately go to Greece. Mazury is different … you come here for its diversity given us by its climate and landscape: the sun and the rain, the wind and the silence, the laziness and movement. Every day can be different and provides us with a lot of experiences thanks to the diversity. There’s weather for the deck chair and a hammock, for contemplation, for sailing, kayaks, fishing, swimming, running, a bike, mushrooms, berries and horses. Where else in Europe can you experience so much in just a few days???
The ECO region. In Poland, being “eco” is in style. Until recently, living in harmony with nature was a scourge of heavy daily chores – today it is the goal and dream. The peasant and the city dweller have changed places. What until recently young people wanted to shake off is today’s trend. The country house, a farm with animals, acreage of fields and homemade food production is a status symbol, a conscious choice and decision – not a necessity. Even galoshes have regained popularity and what a style! They have become the select choice of nature tourists. The lady in wellingtons, a grass pattern dress, headscarf and an armful of sticks is not a portrait of grandmother, but a background picture on Facebook. The main message is clear: I am at the lake, life is slow and by no means cheap. Mazuria’s conveniences will cost you “European” prices with gusto. This gesture is welcome and superbly weaves into the Slavic tradition. Masuria created an oasis of luxury with superb centers and hotels that perfectly fit the needs of modern man.
There is excellent cuisine inspired by tradition, but without the former plentitude. We serve the best tasting world-class wellness menu, ethno-design and global techniques. There aren’t many such places, so these oases remain almost uninhabited deserts. And this is the crux of the matter. This seclusion is what we are attracted to, it is what we want to savor and contemplate, but then again we also want to share and “make it available”! Therefore, we do not want to sacrifice certain comforts which every day civilization has accustomed us to. So it is here that we find this crucial balance between comfort and the need to blend into nature, which is often referred to as living in harmony with nature. Witnessing nature, untouched by civilization, in Warmia and Mazury is like watching the “Big Five Game” in Africa from a luxury jeep. We enjoy the savagery and conquest of the new world. Wildlife does not have to be difficult and inaccessible. This would mean that it will not be a part of our lives, and the whole point is that we are to co-exist with nature in today’s conditions: to support, development and live in nature – all at the same time. We must be aware of it in order to control this development for its protection.
