There was a concert, there was the „Wschód Piękna” festival and it was excellent! The rain did not soften us, on the contrary! It gave us strength. Please, dear Ladies and Gentlemen, take a look at the report of this modest reviewer and co-author of these events, and maybe you will find some motivation for yourselves? I invite you to read it.

Concert on the Water or Concert on the Lake?
Grzech Piotrowski – saxophone, Robert Kubiszyn – bass, Robert Luty – drums, Bram Stadhouders – guitar and a special guest:
Anna Maria Jopek
Seemingly the same…. But Grzech called the proverbial wolf out of the woods, that is, water from heaven. He kept talking about water and got it to his heart’s content, and with him we all did.For He always gets everything He desires and to the full. Hm.The previous concert with Him was a trial by fire, the heat was pouring down from the sky around 35 Celsius, but this concert was definitely a trial by water, pouring down from the sky in a merciless amount. We endured these trials bravely.Has it been proven now that nothing can stop us? Can we plan another festival? It seems that nothing can stop us, because we are already planning for next year. We dream about a concert of the whole orchestra on several wooden stages in the mists of a pink morning. If this is too much of a challenge for the audience, we are ready to forgive you, and we will do it simply for the ART, in the exclusive company of Nature. So the concert will be only for those who want it. Maybe we will just broadcast it live for you?
But let’s go back to our water concert of 30 June 2017. Thanks to the Artists and the audience determined for art, the concert sounded absolutely brilliant and unique. The stage on the Water, the monochromatic aura, the rain and the stormy whirlwind only added to the sense of peculiar isolation and thus elitism of the event. We felt absolutely integrated in this aura capsule. We took the liberty of photographing the audience during the concert, because you, dear guests, were an essential part of this performance. Your firm resolve to participate and your humour are admirable. So mark yourselves in the photos, because you are co-authors of this performance.
Musically, it was delightful. Anna Maria Jopek, Grzech Piotrowski’s special guest in this concert, blended with the lake and this nostalgic aura so beautifully that she enchanted the audience with her form and repertoire. We heard “Czerwone Jabłuszko”, “Uwoz Mamo”, “I met a girl”, songs that were picked up by the wind and the coastal rushes and are humming about it until now, and the Spirits of the Lake picked up HER intention and, released, soared into the skies of the universe. Grzech Piotrowski accompanied her on this journey into the past with his saxophone with full understanding. It is not the first time Grzech reaches for inspiration to songs written tens or even hundreds of years ago, to times when man lived both closer to the earth and closer to the cosmos. Served in contemporary open improvisation, they played really interestingly and mobilisingly. Yes, mobilising in the context of the need to continue creating, recreating, processing and simply making art. I believe that all creative individuals gathered in this place that day felt this inspiring power and drive to their own actions. We wish you this, this is the true meaning of sharing art.
We were saved from a total drowning in nostalgia by Robert Luty on percussion instruments giving us rhythm, invigorating and awakening, vibrating our subconscious. Robert Kubiszyn on bass gave an appropriately low tone and Bram Stadhouders on guitar provided pure harmonious sounds. They played solo and together, beautifully exposing each of their originality. Exactly as we, the listeners, expect. Thanks for this wonderful evening together!
Stage on the water – A few words about it
Stage on the Lake – Stage on the Water. It always grows up for this one night and disappears right afterwards. This time, for the first time, we had to think about a roof. So we created something like a TV set on water, but with our own programme. In the first vision it was supposed to be a Polaroid, just a frame, but the rain changed the plan and we had to cover the frame with a tarpaulin and create a small retreat for the Artists. There are a few heroes worth mentioning, because thanks to their steadfastness this stage was created and did not bend under the pressure of the storm wind. Wojtek Żółtowski & Manufaktura69 i.e. Janek, Michał and Grzesiek as well as Piotr Piejdak & Agencja Kastor who did not hesitate to provide a sound system in those conditions. Thus, both in terms of equipment and spirit they secured the concert as well as only they can. Piotr – we are glad that also this time you supported us in every aspect, and may you always have an appetite for our apple pie!
