Skating rink
When the lake freezes over we have a skating rink!
An icebound lake can be as mesmerizing as the rippling water! And it makes for a ready to use skating rink where you may feel free- there are no barriers, no bands, just the open space. Yet it is perfectly safe as we skate on the shallows. All you need to do is to select some skates (we do not charge for the skates we already have available). Should you require sizes to fit all the members of the group let us know and we will inform you about the extra costs in advance.

A very popular Scottish game in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice towards the target. The more stones come resting closest to the centre of the target, the higher the score of the team. The game requires such precision, strategy and cunning that it is often called ‘chess on ice’. The price is far from exorbitant-just the cost of the referee and the stones that we make ourselves in Galery69.
If it’s snowing heavily, we clear our ‘skating rink’ so you can still go skating or you can join us skiing, snowboarding or building an igloo. We can go sleighing or build ice castles. There are many options, but of course we must reckon with the weather. If Mother Nature smiles on us and there is plenty of snow and ice to play with, we will provide you with the necessary tools: spades, chainsaws and moulds for ice blocks. The costs depend on the size of the event.
Attractions on ice are offered as a package deal. What can really be done depends on the weather, but we try our best to make sure you can have fun from the early morning till night and when the darkness envelopes the world it’s time to light a bonfire and sip mulled wine.
